ActionAid Gifts in Action

For high street honeys

Beehives and accessories

For the poorest people of Ghana, earning a living is desperately hard. And with little money, they cannot buy essentials like medicine, or give their children a life-changing education. One project your gift could help fund is helping women in poor communities to become beekeepers. By providing hives, protective clothing and training, women can harvest honey to sell and provide for their family.

"I never knew honey could be a source of income. I will use the money from my first yield to buy cloth for my children's school uniform."

Gyima Maah, mother and beekeeper
