A volunteer teacher

Many families from Battambang, Cambodia fled their homes during the Khmer Rouge communist regime. Recently people have started returning, but they often live far away from government schools. Parents have no choice but to keep their children at home, and the few available teachers must travel long distances too. Your gift could help ActionAid train volunteer teachers for a local school and give them a small monthly allowance to cover their travel expenses – giving children the chance to learn basic skills like maths and continue their education.
