In the remote Sunamganj district of Bangladesh, it is virtually impossible for sick and injured people to seek medical help in an emergency. A lengthy taxi journey is too expensive for most families, and the distance and poor quality of roads means that people from isolated villages often don't reach hospital in time.
One project your gift could help fund provides river ambulances for isolated communities, enabling them to reach hospital - before it's too late. The community works together to ensure sick and injured people have access to the ambulance when they need it.
