In Ha Tinh province, Vietnam, floods are becoming increasingly frequent and severe. Often, people get little warning, are unprepared and lives are lost as a result. Crops are destroyed. Livestock is washed away. When the water level drops, the unsanitary conditions left behind mean disease is a heightened risk.
One project your gift could help fund is enabling communities to be better prepared. Rescue teams are trained and set up. They have boats on standby and go straight into action - saving the most vulnerable people from the flood water. A gift of £15 could cover the cost of three life rings used by rescue teams.
